The rolling hills around Munnar, South India's largest tea-growing region, are carpeted in emerald-green tea plantations, contoured, clipped and sculpted like ornamental hedges. The low Western Ghats scenery is magnificent � you�re often up above the clouds watching veils of mist clinging to mountaintops. Munnar itself is a scruffy, traffic-clogged administration hub, not unlike a North Indian hill station, but wander just a few kilometres out and you'll be engulfed in a sea of a thousand shades of green.
Itinerary
DAY 01 - COCHIN - MUNNAR
You are greeted on arrival at Kochi International Airport/Railway station by our representative and thereafter transfer to Munnar covering a distance of 130 kms / 4 hrs enroute visit Cheyyappara Waterfalls, Valara Waterfalls. On the way to Munnar you can see tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02 - IN MUNNAR
Morning after breakfast sightseeing in Munnar which includes Mattupetty, Eco-Point, Tea Museum, Pothamedu etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (own charges & optional). Overnight stay at Hotel.
DAY 03 – MUNNAR – ALLEPPEY HOUSEBOAT
Morning after Breakfast check out from the hotel drive to Alleppey. On arrival check in to the houseboat and enjoy the backwaters ride and all cuisines served in the Houseboat. Overnight stay in house boat.(Cruise start through - Vembanadu lake(biggest lake in kerala) – C block & R-Block paddy fields islands, kuttanadu villages, village fishermen shops, evening halt at 5.00pm)
DAY 04 - DEPARTURE
Morning after breakfast transfer to Cochin Airport or Railway Station for the onward Journey with Happy Memories.
