From War Remnants to Mountain Peaks: The Ultimate Vietnam Tour

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival – City Tour

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City! The driver will be welcoming you at Saigon airport; it takes us 15 minutes driving to the hotel then check-in at hotel and relax. Please note: Standard check in time is 14:00. Early check in is subject to availability of the hotel. The tour guide picks up for half day city tour. Explore the central Post office, designed by Gustave Eiffel, and the Notre Dame Cathedral (visit from outside). Next, visit the War Remnants Museum which presents a partial, but riveting, view of the American war, as it is known in Vietnam, Independence Palace, Ben Thanh market. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels

Breakfast at the hotel. Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive 2 hours to Mỹ Tho. During the trip, we will stop along the way for refreshments and toilet before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho. Upon arrival, we will board a motorboat and cruise along a vast network of canals and channels to enjoy wonderful views of the Mekong River. Cross the River to the other side, you will stop at a traditional workshop to witness a step-by-step process on how to make coconut candy, honey farming… while trying some yourself and listening to traditional music. Here you can also join daily activities of the local people and take in the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside. Enjoy what local people offer by hand rowing a sampan along the shady, breezy canal. We will transfer to local transportation called Xe Lôi to travel throughout the villages. In the afternoon board the motorboat and back to Mỹ Tho harbor and transfer to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 3: Cu Chi Tunnel – Fly to Da Nang

Breakfast at the hotel. Our driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Cu Chi Tunnel. Upon arriving at Cu Chi tunnel, you will learn more about the mystery of Cu Chi Tunnel by watching a documentary film. The video will partly show you how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions during the war time. Witness and discover the system of tunnels deep underground, can withstand the destructive power of the bomb attack from the US military. Discover Hoang Cam smoke-less stove, secret hide-outs, fighting bunkers, dangerous booby traps and rice paper workshop. Then, you will be served special tea and cassava which are guerrilla’s food during the war. Have break time to relax or try shooting a variety of Vietnam War era weapons such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M16 (at your own cost). Finish the tour, the bus will take you back to Ho Chi Minh City. And transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your flight to Da Nang. Arrival at Da Nang International Airport, the driver pick up and transfer to hotel. Check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 4: Marble Mountain – Hoi An Ancient Town

Have breakfast at hotel. we pick you up from your hotel and take you to visit Hoi An Town. On the way to Hoi An, we will stop to visit Marble Mountain - a group of five limestone peaks. Here, you can admire a network of caves, tunnels, towers, and pagodas (Tam Thai, Xá Lợi tower, Tang Chon cave, Hoa Nghiem Cave, Huyen Khong cave) built by Mahayana Buddhists and the Nguyen Dynasty Kings. After that You will be transferred to Hoi an Ancient town. You have free time to visit Hoi An by walking down the lane at evening. Hoi An Ancient Town is the former international trading port to Vietnam from the 16th century. We will explore some famous attractions in the old town of Hoi An such as the Japanese covered bridge; Fujian assembly hall, Tan Ky Old House, Hoi An central market. Enjoy the night life in Hoi An. Back hotel in Da Nang. Overnight in Da Nang.

 

Day 5: Da Nang – Bana Hill – Golden Bridge – Da Nang – Fly to Ha Noi

Enjoy Breakfast at hotel. Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Ba Na Hills to enjoy the beautiful view of from the cable car up to the summit. Upon arrival have sightseeing and take photos at the world-famous Golden Bridge, continue to flower garden Le Jardin D’amour where has many kinds of beautiful flowers. Take another cable car route to reach French Village at the height of 1138 meters for experience architecture here. You will spend more time playing games at Fantasy Amusement Park (almost normal games and 4D Movie already included in the tour package but only some games which have reward, you will pay fee by yourself). After that you will take cable car back the foot and transfer to the Da Nang International Airport for flight to Ha Noi. Arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, Ha Noi. The driver pick up and transfer to hotel.

 

Day 6: Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay

Enjoy Breakfast at hotel. The driver pick up and head East for more than 3 hours to Ha Long Bay, the pride of the Gulf of Tonkin, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO in 1994. The road will pass by the Red River delta with green paddy fields and rural villages, where hard-work farmers are busy with their farming jobs, ploughing buffaloes or planting seedling. Upon arrival in Ha Long, we’ll take a big boat to cruise the Bay to discover the magnificent beauty of this “Descending-dragon” bay, created by thousands odd, shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After a lunch of fresh seafood on board, we can visit the Surprising Grotto, stop for swimming or kayaking, passing floating villages and approach islets to enjoy their beauty in close distance. Evening attend activities on the boat or relax at your own leisure.

 

Day 7: Ha Long – Ha Noi

After breakfast, visit some places nearby or do some activity if time permits. Back to the Wharf of Ha Long passing the most densely area with many islands that have been named like the Cock-Fighting Rock, Sail Island, Incense burner rock or Sea Dog Rock. Arrive at Ha Long Wharf around 11.00 hrs. Return to Ha Noi around 16.00 hrs and transfer to the hotel and check in for overnight stay.

 

Day 8: Ha Noi – Sa Pa

Pick up from Ha Noi Old Quarter, get on Bus and depart for Sa Pa. Ha Noi to Sa Pa it will take 6 hrs by road. Arrive Sa Pa and check in to the hotel. Day free for leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 9: Sapa – Fansipan Sun world + Glass Bridge

After breakfast in hotel, tour guide will take you to Sa Pa Station and take Mountain Rail for Muong Hoa Station. From Muong Hoa, board the Cable Car (20 mnts) for Fansipan Station. You can enjoy the spectacular view of Indo-China Mountain Range. Reach the altitude of 2800 meters, you can visit pagoda the spiritual destinations. By climbing 600 steps you can reach the peak of Fansipan – the Roof of Indochina (3,147m). You can opt Mountain Tram to go to the peak of Fansipan at your own cost. Come back to Cable Car Station and return to Sa Pa town. After that guide will take you to visit Glass Bridge, also known as Rong May Glass Bridge (literally means Dragon in the Clouds Glass Bridge), is located at O Quy Ho pass, about 17 kilometers from Sapa town center. This beautiful bridge was constructed at a height of over 500 meters over the Hoang Lien Son Mountain cliff at the top of O Quy Ho Pass. Back to the town. We highly recommend a stop at the love market which is one of unique cultures of ethnic minorities (H’mong, Dazo. Int Lao Cai in pacticular and Northwest of Vietnam in general. Overnight stay at Sa Pa.

 

Day 10: Sa Pa – Ha Noi – Departure

Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Take the bus from Sa Pa to Ha Noi. Arrival Ha Noi old quarter and driver will pick up and take you to the Noi Bai International Airport for your flight to back home.
