Tamil Nadu, a South Indian state, is famed for its Dravidian-style Hindu temples. In Madurai, Meenakshi Amman Temple has high gopuram towers ornamented with colorful figures. On Pamban Island, Ramanathaswamy Temple is a pilgrimage site. The town of Kanyakumari, at India's southernmost tip, is the site of ritual sunrises. Capital Chennai is known for beaches and landmarks including 1644 colonial Fort St. George.
Day 1
Arrival Madurai
Upon your arrival at Madurai Airport or Madurai Railway Station in the early morning, you will be greeted by our local tour representative.
Later transfers to the hotel, check in to the hotel. Madurai is among the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities and is well-known around the world for its stunning Hindu temple architecture.
Take some rest before we visit the marvellous Meenakshi Amman Temple (opens from 05:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and closes from 12:30 p.m. to 04:00 p.m.). Pray to the Goddess and discover the enthralling art of stone figures so elaborately designed on Gopurams.
From there, visit other top attractions of the cities that may include Thirumalai Nayak Palace and Koodal Azhagar Temple.
Later back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 2
Madurai - Rameswaram
After breakfast, depart for Rameswaram, a sacred island town famous for its connection to Lord Rama.
Visit the Ramanathaswamy Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples, and take a holy dip in the Agni Theertham, a sacred sea.
Explore the other temples in the town, such as Kothandaramaswamy Temple, Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple, and more.
In the evening, attend the evening aarti at the Ramanathaswamy Temple.
Check in to your accommodation in Rameswaram.
Overnight stay in Rameswaram.
Day 3
Rameswaram - Tuticorin - Tirunelveli
After breakfast, depart for Tuticorin, a coastal city.
Visit the famous Tiruchendur Murugan Temple, dedicated to Lord Muruga, and seek blessings.
Explore other temples and sacred sites in Tuticorin.
continue your journey to Tirunelveli, known for its ancient temples and religious significance.
Visit the Nellaiappar Temple and the Kanthimathi-Nellaiappar Temple and explore the architectural grandeur of these temples.
Check in to your accommodation in Tirunelveli.
Overnight stay in Tirunelveli.
Day 4
Departure
After breakfast, visit other temples in Tirunelveli, such as the Sankaranainarkoil Temple.
Explore the local markets and experience the culture of the region.
After lunch, begin your journey back to Madurai Airport, which is approximately a 2-3 hour drive.
