Day 1: Arrival in Wayanad
Welcome to Wayanad!! Once you arrive at Calicut Railway station / Airport our representative will be there to welcome you. From there, you’ll be taken on a scenic drive to Wayanad, a beautiful and green hill district known for its forests, waterfalls, and wildlife.
Once you reach Wayanad, check in to your pre-booked hotel and relax. You can enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace—resting or exploring nearby on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Wayanad Sightseeings
After a tasty breakfast at the hotel, you’ll head out to explore some of the most famous natural spots in Wayanad: Banasura Sagar Dam – One of the largest earth dams in India, surrounded by scenic hills. You can enjoy a peaceful walk or go for boating. Meenmutty View Point – A viewpoint that offers breathtaking views of the forest and hills. If you’re up for it, you can also trek to the nearby Meenmutty Waterfalls. Pookode Lake – A freshwater lake surrounded by thick forest. You can go for boating or just relax by the lakeside. Lakkidi View Point – A high-altitude viewpoint offering stunning views of the valleys below and the winding roads. Chembra Peak – The highest peak in Wayanad. It’s a popular spot for trekking. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Wayanad Sightseeings
After breakfast, continue your Wayanad journey by exploring some historical and cultural places: Jain Temple, Sultan Bathery – A centuries-old temple built in Jain architectural style. It also tells stories of Wayanad’s past. Sultan Bathery – A historic town with connections to Tipu Sultan. You’ll pass through it while visiting other attractions. Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary – A rich forest area with elephants, deer, and many birds. A great place for a short safari if available. Edakkal Caves – Famous caves with ancient rock carvings that date back to prehistoric times. You’ll need to walk uphill to reach them, but the experience is worth it. Wayanad Heritage Museum – A small museum showing tools, sculptures, and items from the tribal and ancient history of Wayanad. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your journey back to Calicut. You’ll be transferred to the airport or railway station for your return journey.
