From the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral to the maze-like Cu Chi Tunnels, Ho Chi Minh City offers a thrilling mix of the past and the present, while its lively markets and vibrant street food scene keep visitors coming back for more.
Day wise plan:
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival – City Tour
Welcome to Vietnam. Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh City, you will be greeted and driven to the prebooked hotel. (Note: Hotel’s check in is 14.00/15.00, Early check in is NOT included). After that, proceed to visit highlights in Ho Chi Minh city such as the Reunification Palace, a palace of old President in South of Vietnam during the American war; Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, the two sites that we can’t ignore when we visit the city. Later return to the hotel for Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels
Morning after the breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the Cu Chi tunnels, Before entering the tunnels, you will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. Later, you can go to the shooting range where you can try to fire real bullets: (costs US $3/bullet additionally, you can pay on the spot.) In the afternoon, proceed to visit the famous Ben Thanh market, this bustling and well-organized market is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central location. It has a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao Dai. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (My Tho)
Morning after the breakfast at the hotel. You will be driven to the Mekong Delta and take the boat ride on small canals to visit some local cottage industries, fruit orchards, a coconut candy workshop, a honeybee farm, take a sampan ride on palm-shaded creeks, try a taste of seasonal fruit, honey tea, and enjoy a performance of traditional Southern singing. Later of the day, you will be returning to Ho Chi Minh City and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City departure
Morning after the breakfast, check out from the hotel(Standard check out time is at 12pm) according to your flight timings and transfer to the airport for departure flight.
