Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival Kochi - Munnar
Arrival at Cochin Station/ Airport/Bus Stop. Proceed to Munnar Visit waterfalls ( Athirapally waterfalls) . Munnar hill station is marked by vast expanses of tea plantations, colonial bungalows, rivulets, waterfalls and cool weather. It is also an ideal destination for trekking and mountain biking.If time permits View famous Kerala Cultural Show at Munnar Town. Later check in to the hotel and overnight stay at Munnar Hotel.
Day 2
Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfast go for a full day of Munnar sightseeing. This covers a visit to Eco Point, Mattupetty dam, Kundala lake, Eravikulam National Park, which is a 30 minutes drive away from Munnar town. The main attraction of this park is the ‘Nilgiri Thars’- a rare species of mountain goats, protected here. Overnight stay at Munnar Hotel.
Day 3
Munnar - Idukki - Thekkady
After breakfast, Check out from the Hotel and proceed to Thekkady .On the way you can visit Idukki sightseeing places like Hill-view Park and Idukki Arch Dam .After that you can transfer to Thekkady. Check into the hotel in Thekkady .After refreshment , proceed to visit Periyar Tiger Reserve. Periyar is South India’s most popular Tiger Reserve, encompassing an area of 777 sq. km. Set on the attractive man-made Periyar Lake; it attracts over 300,000 visitors a year. Though the sanctuary was made a part of Project Tiger in 1973, it is better known for its elephants. Later back to the hotel and Overnight stay.
Day 4
Thekkady - Vagamon - Kumarakom
After breakfast Check out from the Hotel in Thekkady and drive to Kumarakom . On the way you can visit the Vagamon sightseeing places like Vagamon Meadows, Vagamon falls and Karikadu View point . Later you can transfer to kumarakom . After checking into the Hotel and freshening up, take a houseboat ride in the backwaters of Kumarakom to start the experience with a bang.Enjoy the ride, delicious cuisines and an overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 5
Departure
After Breakfast, check out from the Hotel Proceed to Cochin Airport/Station/Bus Stop as per the return journey timings.
