Hills of Serenity: An Enchanting Journey through Shimla and Manali

Strung out along a ridge with steep forested hillsides falling away in all directions, the Himachal capital is one of India's most popular hill resorts, buzzing with a happy flow of heat-escaping Indian vacationers. Traffic is banned from the central part of town, so walking is pleasant – even when huffing and puffing uphill. The long, winding main street, The Mall, runs east and west just below the spine of the hill. South of it, the maze-like alleys and stairways of the bustling bazaar cascade steeply down to Cart Rd. With mountain adventures beckoning from all directions, Manali is a year-round magnet. Backpackers are well catered for in parts of Vashisht and Old Manai where numerous agents offer trekking, climbing, rafting and skiing according to season. Meanwhile, so many Indian families and honeymooners come for a first taste of snow that greater Manali now has an estimated 800 to 1000 hotels and guesthouses. Tight-packed resort buildings already fill the town center and are now steadily devouring former orchard terraces as far south as once-rustic Prini village. But while the whole area gets jam-packed in season (mid-April to mid-July, mid-September to mid-October, and over Christmas–New Year), it doesn't take too much effort to get off the main tourist trail. And in November, clear skies plus slashed prices make Manali a bargain – if you can handle the cold and the closure of some restaurants.
Day wise plan:
Day 1:
Arrival to Chandigarh – shimla (Approx 122km)Upon your arrival at Chandigarh airport/Railway station meet and greet by our representative, he will transfer you to Shimla. As you arrive in Shimla proceed to prebooked hotel and check in (standard check in time is at 02pm). Free at your own leisure and overnight stay at the hotel in shimla.
Day 2:
Shimla – kufri – shimlaMorning after the breakfast at the hotel, proceed for kufri which is about 16km drive from shimla. Kufri is a famous ski resort at an elevation of about 7500 feet and It's known for its natural beauty and cool climate. Visit the places like Mahasu peak, Kufri valley and Jakhu temple. Later return to the hotel in Shimla for overnight stay.
Day 3:
Shimla – Manali (Approx 232km)Morning after the breakfast, check out from the hotel in Shimla and proceed for Manali. On the way you can view the Beas Sutlez link project and the beautiful Kullu valley. Upon your arrival in manali, check in to the prebooked hotel. Free at your own leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4:
Manali sightseeingsMorning after the breakfast at the hotel proceed to explore manali sightseeings there are numerous sites you can visit during the day. One of the most famous places here is the pagoda-style Hadimba Devi Temple, Another shrine in the town is Manu Temple, dedicated to sage Manu, the first human as per myths, jogni falls and later proceed for solang valley. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5:
DepartureMorning after the breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for Chandigarh airport for your return journey. Back to home with sweet memories.
